The front cover illustration for this book was taken from an engraving by mid-19th Century Geddington-born artist, Edward Bradley.
Edward (1802-1883) was my 3x great grandfather, and I am trying to discover as much as I can about his life and family history. He appears to have been the only member of the family who stayed in this country, with his elder brother William emigrating to the US in 1828 and his parents, sister Susannah (known as Susan) and brother Lewis heading to New York in 1830.
