Parish Council Minutes – June 2025

Minutes from the Parish Council meeting held on 9th June 2025 have been published.  Key points discussed included:

  • ‍‍ Co-option: Terence Bailey was co-opted to represent Little Oakley.

  • Boughton Estates:

    • Two planning applications being prepared for Geddington, including up to 22 homes with affordable rentals.

    • Parking concerns raised for the Grafton Road site.

  • Stonepit Land: Youth Club meeting scheduled; lease discussions continue. GVFB lease awaiting solicitor’s response.

  • Finance: Annual accounts and governance statements for 2024–25 approved; payments included car park line marking and defibrillator rental.

  • Local Issues:

    • Queen Street parking still causing access problems.

    • Road markings, streetlights, and flooding issues remain unresolved.

    • Newton river blockage still outstanding.

  • Environment: Free trees available via Woodland Trust – residents invited to express interest.
