On Sunday 8 June 2025, Kettering will proudly host a special Armed Forces Parade as the Royal Anglian Regiment exercises its Freedom of the Town.

This prestigious event will feature a guard of honour and colour party from the 3rd Battalion of the Royal Anglian Regiment, supported by the Corps of Drums from the 1st and 2nd Battalions. The parade promises to be a stirring display of pageantry, pride and military tradition.

Parade Details:

The parade will begin at 12 noon, moving through the town centre along London Road, Horsemarket, Silver Street, Gold Street, High Street, and Sheep Street, before concluding with a short service in Kettering Market Place. The entire event is expected to last just over an hour.

A saluting base will be located outside Toller Church on Gold Street, where county dignitaries will take the salute from the regiment and other marchers.

In addition to serving soldiers from both Regular and Reserve battalions, the parade will include cadets from across the county – many of whom are affiliated with the Royal Anglian Regiment and the broader armed forces.

Road Closures:

Please note that to accommodate the parade:

• London Road, Horsemarket, and Silver Street will be closed from 11am until the parade disperses.
• The pedestrianised areas of Gold Street and High Street, as well as limited access to Market Street, will also be affected.
