Great news for sports fans! Big Screen TV and GVFB’s marquee means there will be plenty of space for everyone!
Geddington Cricket Club has announced their plan to broadcast all of England’s EURO 24 matches live, ensuring that the spirit of football will be alive and well in Geddington this summer. The venue was put to the test during England’s first game against Serbia, when Bellingham’s 13th minute header provided the winning goal.
Just last week, the marquee was also put to great use during the Geddington Montrose football team’s presentation day which was a huge success.
The marquee, which had been put up earlier by members of the GVFB, has been made available to village organisations for many years, but is under constant repair and now something reminiscent of ‘Trigger’s Broom’.
The marquee will also be available dusing England’s match against Denmark on Thursday 20th at 5pm, as well as their final group-stage game against Slovenia on Tuesday 25th at 8pm.
We are all looking forward to enjoying the EURO 24 matches together as a community. The cricket club invites everyone to come and support England, so whether you’re a die-hard football fan or just looking for a lively place to enjoy some time with friends and neighbors, the cricket club’s new setup is the place to be.
