Last night at The Star’s charity Quiz, over 100 people, comprising of 16 teams, gathered to try to win the coveted and highly desired Cup of Knowledge. It may only be a modest silver-plated little trifle but boy, do people desire it! Why else would they struggle to try and win the Quiz? I can’t imagine!
The charity last night was Geddington Kites (a women’s rounders team) and maybe it was the magnificent raffle, which comprised of booze and chocolate, that they managed to conjure up! We raised £369.50 for their funds which was the largest sum this year!
The winner was The Quizzer Sisters with 87 points. second was the Old Rockers with 86 points and third with 85 points were 4 teams : NFN, Carol and Co, The Select Few and Geddington Kites. In 7th place was BBJS with 84 points. Better luck next time BBJS. I’ll try not to make the questions so difficult !
