The moral of the story is: do intense studying and you win The Star Quiz Trophy. I KNOW BBJS had a secret warm weather training camp disguised as a barbecue in Wood Street – they were heard chanting boy bands in a low voice!?
Well done BBJS with 84 points – you were on fire! And on top of that, they won a bottle of whisky in the raffle!
Second place went to Queen Street Riders [Ed:- surely “Runners”??] with 83, and third equal were NFN and Loose Women with 80.
I don’t normally mention last place, but it was unusual: Team Nobber, with a merry team of one, scored 4 points! I suppose it’s the taking part that matters.
The charity was Queen Eleanor Cyclists, who cycled from Harby to Westminster Abbey via Geddington. We raised £231.60.
The next quiz is on Tuesday 9th September and is in aid of Geddington Mums and Tots. Don’t forget to book your team and numbers.
