Last night, at The Star charity Quiz, it was hot. Lots of Quizzers were away on holiday, but we were just as hot.
The charity was Pancreatic Cancer, raising awareness about this dangerous and often deadly disease. As Mr Acaster (standing in for Hilary Holt who was indisposed) diagnosis greatly increases your chance of survival.
14 teams took part. One of whom, Wonderlust, came from Brigstock to support the Charity. Thank you for coming and we hope you enjoyed it! Come again soon!!
We raised £246 for Pancreatic Cancer, with ten pounds which came from a non-Quizzer so thank you . Thank you to NFN for organising an excellent raffle and ticket collectors and thanks to John Hobbs for the persistently good Music round. Emma and her team worked so hard in the heat to keep everyone well lubricated !!
The winners were Queen Street Runners with 89 points followed closely by NFN with 87 points and BBJ came third with 86 points.
So Close, BBJ but next time ………..4th equal with 83 points were Old Bags, Carole and co and Muttz Nuttz.
