Trisha’s Brave Words Inspire Crowd at The Star Charity Quiz

What a wonderful and inspiring evening we had at The Star Charity Quiz last night, which was in aid of Protection Against Stalking.

Trisha spoke powerfully about the senseless and tragic death of Clare, who was the victim of a self-absorbed and persistent stalker. Trisha is determined to educate everyone on the consequences of stalkers and the seriousness of it. £423.00 was raised that evening, due to a magnificent raffle, 16 teams and Trisha’s presence.

So, on to the quiz itself…  Geddington Goers, who had been winners 5 times this year, crashed and burned. The winner was GADS with 77 and a half points. NFN was second with 70 and a half and third was Carole and Co with 70 points.

Behold the glory! GADS claim the mighty Star Trophy — and yes, they’re allowed to hold it for a full ten minutes (insurance says no more). [Photo: GB]

Nerd Immunity was 4th with 69 and a half points (so close!). The Amateurs, usually at the bottom, crawled their way up to 14th place , Well Done.

The next Quiz is on Tuesday 3rd June and is in aid of Kettering Civic Society, Do come along, but please ring up or call in and book a team and NUMBERS. It makes it so much easier for the bar staff to sort the tables and chairs!!
