It was busy, busy, busy at the Charity Quiz Night at The Star Geddington. 13 teams with over 80 Quizzers! They raised £287.00 and 2 Euros (?!) in aid of Young GADS. This charity, which is run by Lorraine, encourages Geddington youngsters to get on the stage. There was also a magnificent raffle which had the most alcohol in a raffle ever seen, and very generous participants.
The winners last night were Geddington Goers with 87 1/2 points . Second was Old Rockers with 86 points. Queen Street Runners were third with 85 1/2 points. BBJ came 4th with 85 points and fifth equal was The Topical team and Stoite Twange with 83 1/2 .
The next Quiz is on Tuesday 22nd April and is in aid of the WI.
Due to the magnificent generosity of NFN who gave up their seats (I think they quite like high stools!) to Geddington Goers, chaos had been averted. The Goers had not booked their team in and were bereft of a space. So PLEASE book your team and numbers in so that the landlord can squeeze everybody in.
