The September and October minutes of the Geddington, Newton, and Little Oakley Parish Council are now available. The October meeting was cut short due to a lack of quorum, with most items deferred to November.
Key topics discussed in September included:
- Stonepit Land Lease Issues: Concerns were raised by Youth Club representatives over lease terms, including the length and ownership provisions. A simplified lease will be discussed following further legal advice. The GVFB lease was reported as nearing final agreement.
- Traffic Calming Funds: Proposed traffic calming measures were canceled, however this has led to the loss of s.106 funding.
- Cricket Club Concerns: Issues regarding the ball stop netting maintenance and placement of grass cuttings were discussed.
- Flood Working Group Update: Progress continues on a flood action plan, including discussions on an attenuation pond with Boughton Estates.
Key updates from the brief October meeting:
- Finance: Approval of payments, including rent for the playing field and repair costs for the bridge and berm gate.
- Quorum Loss: The meeting became non-quorate after addressing financial matters, deferring other agenda items to November.
The full minutes for both meetings are available on the Parish Council download page.
