Enormous raffle raises £250 at this week’s Charity Quiz

Geddington Montrose Football Club are officially the most splendid raffle at The Star Charity Quiz last night! Thank you so much for providing it and with your delightful ‘little helpers’, mostly every Quizzer went home with a prize!

That makes up for apparently the difficult questions. 13 teams competed, only one a winner. NFN was first with 83 points, second was Loose Women with 80 points and third was Carole and Co with 79 points. Quizzy Bees were fourth with 78 points.

The next Quiz is on Tuesday 27th August and is in aid of The Queen Eleanor Cycle Ride. They are cycling through the historic route of Queen Eleanor passing through Geddington on her way to Westminster Abbey while raising money for The Connection at St Martin-in-the-Fields – London’s leading homeless charity.

The cyclists will be stopping overnight at Geddington on 24th August and Geddingtonians are welcoming them into their homes. Gordon and I are having ‘a small cyclist’ as our spare bed is very small! The first time, about 20 years ago we received a 6 foot 3 cyclist!! He was very crumpled in the morning!!

So do come to the Quiz on the 27th August and support such a good cause. Please remember to book a team and numbers so that The Star can accommodate them.
