NFN won again with 89 points. We are going to have to do something to even up the points. Maybe take away their pencils? Blindfold them? Tie them up? Solutions on a postcard please. Thinking about it, NFN are a very loyal and supportive team and always book their name and numbers so I’m going to take that all back.
Second were Queen Street Runners with 86.5 points and third with 85 was The Topical Team. 4th equal with 82.5 points were Geddington Goers and Loose Women. I never should have given half points but I was weak.
Some people didn’t know that Tonto’s horse was called Scout. (NFN did).
6th place was Old Bags with 82 points and 7th was Carole and Co with 78.5.
The next Quiz is on Tuesday 30th July and is in aid of Hedgehog Rescue. It is bound to be an exciting Raffle.
Please book your tables AND numbers. That is why when there are ten of you and you book it you are in comfortable seats with free champagne ( maybe not quite) and others (not given numbers) are all squashed round a little table with stools and only watered down drinks. The choice is yours.
Ed – It appears we missed the report from the last quiz (2nd July). It was brief, so here it is for your enjoyment:
On July 2nd 2024, at the Star Charity Quiz, no nit picking was involved! 80 Quizzers with 13 teams played nicely. No arguments, no fisticuffs, no pulling of hair, this was a wonderful Quiz.
The charity was for Pancreatic Cancer, with a lovely boozy and chocolatey raffle, We raised £221.
First place was NFN with 86 points, 2nd was GADS with 85 points and Motley Crew was third with 83 points. So close!!
