Garden Work Party & Plant Sale

The Geddington Brickyard Garden

is holding a

Garden Work Party
and combining it with a
Plant Sale

Sunday 12 May 10am – 4pm

We’re looking for volunteers to help us with a big push to get jobs done in preparation for an event we’re holding at the garden this summer. There are lots of light, medium and heavy jobs to do. No skills required … just enthusiasm! Come for as little or as long as you can.

They’ll be a DIY ‘Bring Your Own’ BBQ from 1-2pm, to keep up energy levels, and a plant sale with all proceeds going to the GBG.

Priority jobs
1. Extend path and create a small paved area around our ‘giant bench’ for a turning circle for wheelchairs and to define the reading circle area. Do you know anyone with paving skills?
2. Make a start on creating a linked overflow rainwater catchment system. We expect this to involve a lot of digging!
3. Mend and weather-proof garden furniture.

Thanks to a donation by Alan W, we now have enough tarmac scrapings for a new paved area AND to fill the potholes along the path. This will benefit anyone who walks along to Clay Dick, so please:
4. Bring your wheelbarrows to deal with the pile of tarmac – see image!

Please bring own tools, drinking water and something to cook on the barbie. We plan to have fun while we work, so please join us if you can.
